What decides whether a feed mill hits its nameplate is not the pellet mill: it is whether the chain around it is balanced. A grinder that runs 15 % short starves the mixer; a cooler sized for the easy recipe hands you a hot pellet the day you switch formulas. We size every stage against the hardest recipe you intend to run, and we say so in the flow diagram before anything is manufactured.
Kibble, treats and baked lines in hygienic execution
Pet food demands food-industry discipline: stainless contact parts, fresh-meat handling, precise coating and gentle drying. Our pet food range covers extruded kibble and baked products on the same engineering base.
Kibble is a consumer product long before it is a feed. Shape, density, colour and how the coating sits on the surface are commercial decisions, and each is a setting somewhere on this line — die plate, knife speed, extruder profile, vacuum cycle. Fresh meat goes in at the extruder; fat and palatant go on under vacuum, so the piece reaches the bag dry to the touch.
The end of the line, automated
A palletizing cell that keeps pace with your packers: bag conveying, flattening and alignment, robot pick-and-place and pallet logistics — delivered as a working cell, not a kit of parts.
A palletising cell earns its keep at the end of a shift, not in a demo. Bags arrive creased, half-full and out of square, and the cell has to keep taking them. Ours flattens and aligns before the robot ever sees the bag, and the pattern lives in the recipe: a new bag size is a change on the HMI, not a call to an integrator.
One room runs the whole plant
The SM-IC system puts recipes, batching, traceability and energy data in one place. Operators see the plant as a live diagram; managers see yield, consumption and downtime as reports — not as guesses.
A control system is judged on the day something goes wrong. When a batch is out of specification, the operator should be able to say which ingredient, which shift and which scale — in seconds, not by digging through paper. The SM-IC keeps batch-level records of every formula, and reports energy per tonne by stage, so the cost of a recipe stops being an opinion.
